Lester Gerald "Rooster" resident of Batavia 8/28/11 age 75. Devoted husband of Ruth Owens (nee Nickol) devoted father of Kay (Mike) Pendleton, Michael (Debbie), Anthony Owens, Jhaunna (Greg) Simpson, Gerald (Vanessa) Owens, Gayle Moore, Jodi (Hillard) Newsom & Don Carnahan. Cherished brother of Louise Lawson, Jr,. Wayne, Phillip, Dale Owens, Shirley Cundiff & Geneda Vaughn. Grandfather of 22 grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren & also survived by numerous nieces & nephews. Family will receive friends Wednesday, August 31, 2011 from 1PM until 3PM time of service at the Moore Family Funeral Home 225 Spring St. Batavia. Interment Batavia Union Cemetery. Lester loved & trained Kentucky Walking Horses.
