Horace Combs of Hyde Park. Beloved husband of Zita Marie Flannery (nee Leaman). Loving father of Tina Roberts, Patricia Flannery, Deborah Flannery, Stephen Flannery and Sharon O’Maley. Brother of the late Harold and Louis Clayton Flannery. Grandfather of Sam and Lucy Roberts, Ella and Davin O’Maley. June 27, 2011, Age 78. Family will receive friends Thursday, June 30, 2011 from 10 AM until 12 Noon time of service at the Moore Family Funeral Home 6708 Main St. Newtown. Memorials are preferred to American Heart Association 5211 Madison Road Cincinnati, Ohio 45227 or the Military Order of Purple Heart Foundation 7008 Little River Turnpike, P.O. Box 49 Annandale, VA 22003. Interment Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Horace served in the US Navy as a Corpsman for the Marines in the Korean War and received a Purple Heart.
Member of Kentucky Colonels, Ohio Commandery
Recipient of the Clermont County Pace Setter Award.
Founding partner of the Eastgate Mall Development.
Owner of Aladin Realty
Founding President of the Clermont County Chamber of Commerce.
Two time President of the Clermont County Board of Realtors.
Member of the 2nd US China Trade Mission.
Instrumental in obtaining Honda to locate in Ohio.
Attended the Mid East Economic summit to help promote trade between the US and Jordan.
