KATHERINE (WATTS) REID was born on December 18, 1921 to the late Joseph Watts and Myrtle Bell Watts. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wendell Garrison and second husband Grady Reid, and one sister Delia Cumberland.
On Tuesday night February 8, 2011, she boarded this heavenly vessel to go home to be with her Heavenly Father.
Katherine confessed to Christ at an early age. She was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Ripley, Ohio where she was a faithful member before she moved to Batavia, Ohio. Once relocating to Batavia she moved her membership to the First Baptist Church, where she continued to be a faithful member until her passing. She was a singer and loved to sing gospel music wherever she went. She enjoyed music as a whole.
Katherine was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was also a caregiver to many while working at the hospital in Batavia. She also loved to volunteer in the community for Christ.
She leaves to cherish her many memories, two sons Wendell Garrison and Donald Garrison and daughter Gwen McFarlin. She has 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 11 AM until 12 Noon time of service at the Moore Family Funeral Home, Batavia. Interment in Batavia Union Cemetery.
