Rosida Irene Schneider passed away January 30, 2010 at the age of 91 years. She was preceeded in death by her parents Edward and Ida (nee Schumacher) Friedrich, a brother and her husband of 59 ½ years Roger Nathan Schneider. She is survived by her daughter Carol (Glenn) Hawkins. Grandchildren Michelle (Michael) Dalton, Melissa (Dan) Prenger, Kimberly (Kevin) Uchtman and Julie Hawkins. Great-Grandchildren, Twins Carolyn & Emily Dalton & Haleigh Prenger who called her Noma Noma. Rosida taught school for 25 years with the last 16 with the Forest Hills School District. She served as President of the Forest Hills Teacher’s Association and the Newtown P.T.A. She was a 75 + year member of the Newtown United Methodist Church. Where she served 63 years as Pianist and Organist, Choir and Music Director. Until recently she lived in the house on Church St. that her father built when she was four years old. Rosida was being cared for by her daughter and son in law in their home surrounded by family. Services will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday at the Newtown United Methodist Church 3546 Church St. 45244. Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Moore Family Funeral Home Newtown. Memorials are preferred to her church.
