Edna Mae (nee Jackson) of Summerside, Ohio., passed away March 27, 2010.  Mrs. Wiefering was born in Atlanta, Georgia and grew up in Cincinnati, graduating with honors from Woodward High School in 1931.  After her marriage to Marshall Wiefering and the birth of their only child, Elizabeth, they settled in Dayton, Kentucky where they lived until 1959.

 

During these years, she was active in the PTA, The Parents Club, Tower Methodist Church and over 25 years devoted to Girl Scouting in Northern Kentucky.

 

Because of her many contributions made to the community, she was presented the award of Most Outstanding Wommen of the year in Campbell County in 1956 by the Ft. Thomas Women’s Club.

 

After moving to Summerside in 1959, Mrs. Wiefering was active in the Summerside United Methodist Church and Clermont County Homemakers.  She and her husband started and Antique business.

 

Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Marshall Wiefering and her daughter Elizabeth Wright.  Survived by her son-in-law Edwin Wright and Grandchildren Kimberly (Dwayne) Troxell and Steven (Elizabeth) Wright. Great-grandchildren Lauren and Dan Troxell, Greg, Mike, Chris and Nick Wright and numerous nieces and nephews. March 27, 2010. family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 am until 11 am time of service at the Moore Family Funeral Home 225 Spring St. Batavia.  Memorials are preferred to Clermont County Senior Services
