A Life of Boundless Energy and Many Talents

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Aaron Thomas Wilson, a man whose vibrant spirit, fearless curiosity, and capable hands built a legacy of unforgettable stories. Aaron departed this life on December 15, 2025.

Aaron was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah and Orville Wilson, and his brother, David Orville Wilson. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Ashley Wilson; his grandson, Matthew Graves Jr., his brother, Shawn-Paul Wilson (Naomi Wilson) and a generation of nieces and nephews who adored their extraordinary uncle: Jason Smith, Taiga Wilson, Ichiro Wilson, Remington Wilson, Erichsen Wilson, and Keir Alexa Wohlman. He also leaves behind a wide circle of friends, fellow musicians, and colleagues who will forever miss his formidable presence.

Aaron lived with an intensity and versatility that defied simple description. A natural athlete, he lettered in baseball, basketball, and football, but his need for speed and precision didn't stop at the edge of a field. He raced motocross, drove cars with the flair of a stuntman, and felt at home on the open water as a barge captain on the mighty Ohio River. His sense of adventure and patient guidance made him a favorite uncle, most at home sharing his passions-whether it was passing on a guitar riff or, especially, taking his nephews out on epic, all-night fishing trips where stories and laughter were as plentiful as the catch. Aaron was a born entertainer, captivating everyone with his quick wit and his endless supply of jokes and wonderfully fictitious tales.

A true craftsman in every sense, Aaron built his life with the same dedication he applied to his work. He was a skilled home builder, mastering the trades of plumbing, electrical, framing, and carpentry. He could rebuild an engine, restore a car's body, and turn around to sell it as a natural car dealer. He navigated the nation's highways as a truck driver, his guitar often within reach for a rest-stop melody.

Music was a constant rhythm in his life. A gifted musician, he played rhythm and lead guitar and mastered many instruments, finding camaraderie and joy playing in bands. His heart was as big as his talent, exemplified when he once moved to New Orleans to help rebuild and heal in the painful aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Aaron was a devoted father, a loyal brother, an amazing uncle, and a friend who could literally build, fix, or play anything. He lived more in one chapter than most do in an entire book. His absence leaves a silence where there was once vibrant sound, energetic motion, and unwavering strength.

A gathering to celebrate Aaron's extraordinary life will be held on January 18, 2026, from 5PM-7PM at Holiday Inn Eastgate.

We will miss his laughter, his skill, his music, and his boundless, restless spirit. Rest in peace, Aaron. Your song echoes on.
