Amy Kisner

Amy Nichols Kisner passed away peacefully at the age of 64 in Pineville, North Carolina. She was born December 10, 1959 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Hugh and Doreen Nichols, the youngest of their four daughters.


Amy was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved husband of 24 years, Ronnie Kisner. She leaves behind her daughters Michelle Kisner Culbertson, Niki Kisner Rouse, her grandchildren Crystal Pickens, Andrea Valdez, Dean Culbertson, Chase Schurga, Dylan Culbertson, Brennan Rouse, and Tyler Rouse and four great grandchildren, as well as her sisters Nancy, Betsy and Judy Nichols, her nieces Clover Wier and Alysoun Gough, and her nephew Noah Lull.


Amy grew up in Batavia, Ohio. She graduated salutatorian from Batavia High School and studied chemical engineering at the University of Cincinnati where she was a member of Tau Beta Pi, the honorary society for Engineers. She graduated cum laude in 1982.


Amy went on to have a very successful career, working for Dow Chemical, General Electric and finally Siemens, where he was well respected and won several awards for her outstanding work. Also, along with her husband, she ran the company Continental Plastics in Florida..


But the most important thing for Amy was family. She loved family gatherings like weddings, graduations, milestone birthdays or just getting together for no reason at all. She could always be counted on for help and support with any problem, big or small.


She was a generous soul and loved her rescue dogs Jake and Maggie. She often said they rescued her, not the other way around. She was a world traveler, an avid golfer, enjoyed the outdoors and was famous for her Super Bowl parties. She enjoyed all kinds of puzzles, especially the daily Wordle.


A memorial service will be held for her at 1 pm, April 13 at Moore Funeral Home, 225 Spring Street, Batavia, Ohio.
