Ann Vandermolen

BATAVIA - Ann Vandermolen, age 89, passed away on May 12, 2024. She was born on January 13, 1935, to the late Lesley Edmond Hutchison and Rosemmeth Bates (nee Bussey). Ann was the beloved wife of the late James Vandermolen; devoted mother of Deborah Ann (David) Bain, Darrell Jay (Deanna) Vandermolen, Wendy Sue (Terry Donohue) Vandermolen, Peggy Jo (Dennis) Anderson, Ronald Scott (Rhonda) Vandermolen, and the late Larry Nelson Vandermolen; cherished grandmother of 12, great-grandmother of 21, and great-great grandmother of 4; and dear sister of Jim (Estie) Hutchison and the late Edmond Hutchison. 

Ann loved being a registered nurse, spending most of her career caring for elderly patients. She was a sewer, crafter, and a Pioneer Girl leader. Ann was also a gifted musician, playing the harmonica, accordian, piano, and organ, some of which she was able to do simultaneously. 

Friends and family may visit on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 10AM until 11AM funeral service at First Baptist Church Glen Este. Interment will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati or Bella Care Hospice.
