I hadn't spoken with Cheryl for a long time, but she had contacted me a couple months ago. She talked about her current health issues. She spoke of her daughters. It was quite evident of how proud she was of her daughters. I had recently found a newspaper clipping titled 'Twice Blessed, These Events! Sisters Share Maternity Ward Room'. The article detailed Cheryl's birth and that of one of our other cousins Sheila Sawyer. Cheryl had been born at 5:45pm, and 4 hours later, at 9:47pm Sheila was born; Cheryl to her Mom and Dad, Arlene and Orville; Sheila to Mary(Maude) and Chuck Sawyer. Arlene and Maude are sisters since deceased, and shared the same Patient Room at Bethesda Hospital. I am so very sorry I did not take the time to get that article to her before she passed. To my cousins, I remember some of the best times when my parents brought us out to your house in Newtown. We always had fun playing, and I was always fed well. As we grow up, and grow older, our lives change in so many ways and in so many directions, that 'Family' becomes so small, losing touch with Aunts, Uncles, Cousins. It sounds as though Cheryl had a really good life which she enjoyed, and a great Family. Such great Memories to hold on to............

I remember what a fun loving mom Cheryl was. I remember when we would all get together for WUBE days or just hang out at your grandma and grandpa Williams house. Cheryl will be greatly missed and I'm am so grateful to her for putting me back in touch with my family. Cheryl was always the first to say a kind word or offer words of comfort when needed. I know she loved her family with everything she had. I remember how excited she would get when it was time for your family trip to Florida. I can only hope and pray that I have with my children, what you had with your mom. My love and prayers go out to you all. Love, Shawna

I remember growing up and the heavy storms would roll in. Everyone would be so afraid of tornadoes and John and Cheryl would load us girls up in the car and we would go to Frankies for food and ice cream to wait out the storm. It was the greatest time. I look back now and a restaurant full of windows might not have been the most safe place - lol. I loved this family.
