I grew up across the street from the Sexton Family. My dad and Curly were good friends for many years. Curly was a terrific cabinet maker. And when I wanted to pay tribute to my daughter with a special toy cart for children hospitalized or visiting at Clermont Mercy Hospital, Curly built a very special cart shaped like a little house. He will always hold a special place in my familys heart. Nancy Cummings Wilson

I'm so sorry for your loss! I will always remember Mr. Sexton driving by in his truck and waving, always being in a good mood when my Grandpa Urban or Grandpa Samples would visit with him, and most of all him generously letting my Grandpa Samples and I use his amazing shop an entire summer to build built-in book cabinets for my brother and my rooms. Every so often in life we meet someone who leaves a lasting impression. Clarence Sexton was just such a person to me. I had the distinct pleasure of working for him for two summers while I was in college. Little did I know that at the age I was then, that he was storming Omaha Beach, because he never mentioned it. I learned so much from Clarence, and I will never forget that smile. For some reason, it seems fitting that he should leave this life here on earth on D Day. Frank Hess
