Deborah L Wheeler

Deborah L. Wheeler, age 76, joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven on February 21, 2026. Born November 4th, 1949, in Cincinnati, OH to the late William D. Warren and Francis Garrard (nee White). Cherished Mother of Brad (Melissa) Bove, Amanda (Tim) Wheeler, and Lori (Larry) Floyd. Beloved Grandmother of Andrew (Gladys), Spencer, and Ava Bove; Hunter Swinson; Kaylee and Dani Perry; and Willie and Waylon Baker; and Jesse and Michala Floyd. Loving Great-Grandmother of Jayce, Jessalynn, and 1 great-grandchild on the way. Dear Sister of the late Betsy Griffiths, the late Carol Sue Perkins, the late Mary Lou Shepherd, and the late Georgianne Knight. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and many others who may not have been biological children, but she thought of as her own.

Debby was unequivocally a force for all that is good in the world. For many years, life threw challenges she would always throw aside for the good of her family, her neighbors, and her community. Kind, Giving, Loving, Funny, Outspoken are just the start of some of the words used to describe her. If anyone, old or young, needed food, a place to stay, a shoulder to cry on, she would be there to help. She would tell her stories over and over with the enthusiasm as if it had happened just an hour ago. She loved to play cards, going to concerts, root for the UC Bearcats, especially during Coach Huggins' era, and dance like no one was watching. Deb was also well rounded vocationally, having worked as a Beautician, Apartment Manager, and Bus Driver with Forest Hills, with many school children remembering a warm smile in the cold mornings as they boarded her bus. She was strong willed, blunt with her opinions, and truthful to every word she said, never wavering from her beliefs and faith in Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior.

A time for Visitation will take place March 6th, 2026, from 10am until 12pm at Crosspoint Baptist Church, 4596 Bells Ln, Cincinnati, OH 45244. Funeral Service to follow starting at 12pm. Burial will take place at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 686 Mt . Moriah Dr, Cincinnati, OH 45245.

In Lieu of Flowers, the family asks you consider donating to Crosspointe Baptist Church to continue the outreach and giving ministries that meant the world to her, after her family.
