Obituary

Diane Bernice Adkins (née Wilson)

Cincinnati, Ohio - Diane Bernice Adkins, 69, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with glioblastoma.

Born on September 14, 1956, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Diane lived a selfless life overflowing with warmth, unwavering faith, and a deep commitment to helping others. Known for her kind heart and steady support, she had a special way of making everyone around her feel seen, loved, and encouraged-even in the face of her own challenges.

Diane dedicated her career to service: first as a skilled beautician, bringing beauty and confidence to her clients, and later as a compassionate hospice aide, where she provided comfort, dignity, and gentle care to those in their final days. Her empathy and strength shone brightest when supporting others through hardship.

She faced her glioblastoma diagnosis with remarkable grace, resilience, and the same quiet determination that defined her entire life, inspiring her family and friends every step of the way.

Diane was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Mike Adkins; her parents, John and Winifred Wilson; and her siblings, Jack Wilson, William Wilson, and Debbie Hughes.

She is survived by her cherished children: daughter Jesica Mueller and son-in-law Rob Mueller; son Henry Wooten and daughter-in-law Danielle Wooten; son Tanum Wooten; her beloved grandchildren Cole Wooten, Teighlor Wooten, and Camilla Wooten; and her sisters Sherry Dick and Bonnie Cantey, along with many extended family members and dear friends who were blessed by her presence.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Diane's memory may be made to the Glioblastoma Foundation (glioblastomafoundation.org/get-involved/donate) to directly fund the development of novel drug therapies and research toward better treatments, or to Heartland Hospice (via The Gentiva Foundation at gentivahs.com/patient-and-family-resources/donate) in gratitude for the compassionate end-of-life care they provide to families.

Diane's legacy of love, faith, and selfless service will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered as the warm, steady light she was to her family and community.
