US NAVY VETERAN - Donald "Keith" Bingham, age 67, joined his comrades on January 9th, 2024. Born September 20, 1956, to the late Donald and Janice (nee Pickens) Bingham in Scottsburg, IN. Loving father of Jacob Bingham and Ben "Kyle" (Laurie) Bingham. Beloved Grandfather to Morgan Bingham and Dylan Bingham. Cherished half-brother to Tim and Allen Bingham, and stepbrother to Jimmy Grimes. Cousin to several cousins that were practically siblings, including Brenda Newkirk. "Reluctant hater" of tiny dog Rascal.

"Reluctant Hater" above is a reference to Keith's love language. He did not want to show his love of animals verbally, but he showed it with his actions. Rascal was his best pal when he was staying with Brenda and would constantly say he hated him while petting him, spoiling him with treats, and winking to whomever was listening. When it came to people though, he was the complete opposite. He would help someone out with whatever they needed, having been known to offer help to the funeral home on occasion. If he did not have money, he would offer his time. Keith joined the US Navy in the late 70's, and was stationed on the USS John F. Kennedy as it patrolled the Mediterranean Sea. He loved his time getting to see all of the world's wonders in the region, and even got in a few misunderstandings in Italy. He was a fan of Basketball and the Reds, turning on 700 WLW for each game, and sharing his love for both with his kids. That is a passion they both cherish to this day. He was one hell of grandfather to his grandkids; treating them like any other person he met, dedicating what time he could to them, and spoiling them with little treats he kept around. They subsequently shared with him the movie Cars, a film that became his favorite, and he would jokingly quote on the daily. He was devoted to reading the bible, not favoring one particular sect of Christianity to another. He just studied the words and the stories, learning and teaching them through his actions.
