Donald Robert Ungethuem

BATAVIA - Donald Robert Ungethuem, age 86, was born May 14, 1939, to Frederick and Sophia Ungethuem, the youngest of three boys. Don graduated from Batavia High School in 1957. Don enlisted in the US Army and was recognized as a Marksman before honorable discharge on April 9, 1968. After returning to home from the service, he worked on the family farm. Don married the love of his life, Holly on December 26, 1980. He retired from the Soil and Water Conservation District of Clermont County and returned to his dream job, farming. Don lived nearly his entire life in the Village of Batavia.

Preceded in death by parents, brothers Carl & Jim Ungethuem, and sisters-in-law Lily, Irma, and Wanda Ungethuem. Survived by beloved wife, Holly; Dear daughters Michele (Willam) Raper, Suzanne (Kenneth) Embry, Sarah (Todd) Gadbury; 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Don, a resident of The Glen in Eastgate, left this world for the next on September 15, 2026.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 10:30AM until 11:30AM funeral service at Batavia Faith United Methodist Church. Interment with military honors will follow at Batavia Union Cemetery.
