Doris Jean Jett

Doris Jean Curtis Jett, age 89, resident of Batavia. Loving wife of the late Marvin Dale Jett, Mother of Paula (Scott) Mueller, the late Ellen L. Love, Vicki K. Oberschlake and Eric S. Jett. Grandmother of Dawn Dean, Amanda Huff, Deric Behler, Cassie Carter, Danielle Smith, Christi Mueller, Brittani Oberschlake and Abby Mueller and their significant others. Great Grandmother of 14 - Samantha, Andrew, Jessica, Cameron, Devin, Marley, Bash, Margo, Everett, Benjamin, Emmett, Jordan, Heaven, and Amelia. Great-great-grandmother of 3 - Sophia, Christopher, and Damien. Also survived by sister-in-laws Pearl Curtis, and Jewell Curtis, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, as well as cherished friends. Also cared for and loved by Traci, Candi, Mimi and Erin. Survived by her dog George. She was born in Toledo, Ohio to Samuel Grant and Nora Thelma (nee Craycraft) Curtis. She was one of 9 children. They moved several times but spent most of her life in Kentucky and considered Peach Grove home. She met the love of her life, Marvin Dale Jett, on the telephone during a business call! They struck up a conversation and he had to go see the "beautiful voice" he had been talking to. They married August 13, 1960 and formed a family with her daughters Ellen and Vicki. In 1962, they added a daughter, Paula Dale and in 1966, a son, Eric Shawn. Many blessings and many tough times came through the years, but she remained the strength of her family.
