Earl Smith Holland, 96, died Friday, August 7, 2026, in Punta Gorda, Florida. Earl was born October 14, 1929, in Marathon, Ohio, to George and Blanche (Smith) Holland. He was married to Wenonah Ruth Wallace for 65 years, and together they raised three children.
Earl served in the United States Air Force as a recruiter during the Korean War, then spent most of his career at Ford Motor Company. He had the "gift of gab," and was known for his sense of humor and love of pranking family members. He also enjoyed traveling, especially trips to the beach with his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah; his sister, Helen; his granddaughters, Erin (Jason) and Lauren; and his great-grandchildren, Millie, Ruby, Samantha, Winonah, Royce, and Jet. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; his daughter, Patricia and his son, Douglas.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 11AM until 12PM funeral service at Moore Family Funeral Homes - 225 Spring Street, Batavia, Ohio 45103. Interment will follow at Greenberry Cemetery.
