Edward Charles Salonus

US Navy, Korean War Veteran Union Township - SALONUS, Edward Charles beloved husband of 67 years to Ruth G. (Dunn) Salonus. Loving father of Mark T. (Sharon Jessie) Salonus and Michael R. (Cindy) Salonus, cherished grandfather to Cameron Salonus and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by son Edward Joseph Salonus II, father Edward Joseph Salonus and mother Mary Catherine Kelly, sister Catherine Porter and brother William Salonus. He loved his friends and family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Ed graduated from high school in January of 1951 and proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. He completed his Bachelor's degree and graduated from Geneva College in 1959 as an Electrical Engineer. Ed then went to work for IBM where he retired after 32 successful years. A Memorial service will be held at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 8108 Beechmont Ave. Cincinnati, Ohio 45255 at a later date. Memorial contributions are preferred and can be made to the church.
