Emma M. Yeager

WILIAMSBURG - Emma M. Yeager, born July 21, 1924 to Edgar and Margaret (nee Kerdolff) Herndon, passed away peacefully at the age of 101 years at her home in Williamsburg, Ohio on March 10, 2026. Emma is survived by brothers-in-law, Ronald (Catherine) Yeager and Thomas (Debra) Yeager, numerous nieces and nephew, including her niece, companion and caregiver Debbra S. Love, and her faithful dog Pepper.

Emma was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Robert A. Yeager in 2021, her first husband William Bledsoe (1966), son Jeffrey Bledsoe (2019), brother Edgar Daniel Herndon (2009), sisters Kathryn Irene Seevers (2018) and Stella May Long (2025), and niece Robin McDonald.

Emma was kind and caring with a great sense of humor. She will be missed by many friends and neighbors. Emma loved flowers, feeding the birds and working outside on the farm. She enjoyed dancing, swimming, tennis, golf, and other outdoor activities in her younger days.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at 10:30 AM at St Philomena Catholic Church, 5236 Stonelick Williams Corner Road, Batavia, Ohio 45103. Following the service a luncheon will be held for family and friends in the church undercroft. She will be buried next to her husband Robert and son Jeffrey in the church cemetery.
