Fred Mackzum

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP - Fred Mackzum, age 92, passed away on May 14, 2025. He was born on April 23, 1933, to the late Webb and Marie (nee Hermes) Mackzum. Fred was the devoted husband of the late Helen Jane Mackzum; loving father of Kathy (Rob) Feola, Jeff (Rita) Mackzum, Susan Cunningham, Chris (Teresa) Mackzum, Tom Mackzum, and John (Hilary) Mackzum; and cherished grandfather of 16 grandchildren and great-grandfather of 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his sister.

Fred was a well-rounded individual. He enjoyed being a father to his children and grandchildren and supporting them in their activities. He loved to golf and tinker with his old clocks but being the fix-it man for friends and family made him happiest.

Friends and family may visit on May 30th, from 10AM until 11AM Memorial Service at Moore Family Funeral Homes - Newtown, 6708 Main St. Newtown, Ohio 45244. Burial and military honors following service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
