Geneva Goins

GOSHEN - Geneva Goins, age 80, entered her heavenly home on January 16th, 2026. Born February 1st, 1945 in Barbourville, KY to the late Walter and Ethel (nee Shelton) Shorter. Devoted wife of 62 years to William T. Goins. Cherished Mother of Victoria Smothers, Anthony Goins, Valerie Goins, Scott Goins, and the late Telisa Goins. Beloved Grandmother to Timothy Goins,Derrick Meadors, Misty Bauer, Arron Worley, Mason Goins, Jason Young, and the late Kyle Bowman and Telisa Goins. Great-Grandmother of Riley, Mckenzie, Madelynn, Evelynn, Hunter, and C.J. Also survived by numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Geneva and William were both members of Cornerstone Church of God in Pleasant Plain Ohio. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose life was defined by kindness, generosity, and quiet wisdom. She was a place of comfort, laughter, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

A time for visitation will take place Friday, January 23rd, 2026, from 11am to 1pm at the Cornerstone Church of God, 7237 Edenton Pleasant Plain Rd, Pleasant Plain, OH 45162. Service to follow at 1pm. Graveside service to take place following funeral at Myers Cemetery, 6640 OH-48, Goshen, OH 45122.
