Jeffrey Charles Miller

Jeffrey Charles Miller, age 65, of Batavia, Ohio, passed away on May 22, 2021. He was born July 18, 1955 to the late Glenn Miller and Jane (Tadlock) Deitsch. Jeffrey was the beloved husband of Sheila Miller and the adoring father of Joshuah, Rachel, and Sweet Pea (a 10 lb. Yorkshire Terrier). Jeffrey could often be found grilling or feeding his birds, while listening to his rock n’ roll music. He had a quiet confidence, mischievous cackle, and a way of uplifting those around him. He was often described as a “character” and until his last days, he was never short of personality. A friend of all, both big and small, Jeffrey enjoyed life to its fullest—he will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. A visitation will be held in his memory on Saturday May 29, 2021 from 11AM until 1PM with a prayer service immediately following at Moore Family Funeral Home, 225 Spring Street, Batavia, OH (513) 732-2221. A celebration of life will follow the service at the convenience of the family.

Guestbook

I recently found out about Jeffrey's passing. I'm so very sorry and extend our deepest sympathies to Shelia and their family. I met Jeffrey in California during his law school years, and he stood out in every great way. You couldn't have asked for a better friend and "brother by choice"; back then we referred to him as "The Dr.". I have so many super memories of Jeffrey from those days, all of us here in California do. We lost an extremely good man with his passing, he will be greatly missed and always remembered. Brian

My brother was his high school friend and another brother was later his mailman. His beautiful sister brightened my seventh-grade class. I've always been more than impressed that a California lawyer emerged from our mostly lower middle-class communtiry. His family should be proud. My sympathies to his loved ones.

We extend our sympathies to Sheila, Josh, and Rachel. Although this time is sad, when we think of Jeff we always smile - so many happy memories - sitting in the top row of the Gardens making wisecracks and providing expert commentary on the game, always encourging "pup" and of course, always supporting the men in stripes (!). Jeff was also so kind to Ian, who, like Rachel, was the "hockey sibling", spending many hours supporting their older brother during rink time. Hockey for us was the source of many hours of fun and friendship, we'll never forget those times. To the family we say let the happy memories soften the loss. Eric, Margie, Alex, and Ian Huron.

It would be impossible to think about St. X Hockey without remembering Jeffs smile and constant support. He was truly a believer of the team and all of the boys. Jeff was always a kind face in the crowd. We pray that Sheila, Josh and Rachel will eventually find peace and cherish all the good memories -they will always be there. We are sending much love and positive hugs your way. The Kamp family

How welcoming Jeff was to our family when Jack joined St X hockey! We were enveloped in his friendship and fun and he was a true supporter of the team with always a kind word for Jack after every game. Our sympathy to Sheila, Josh and Rachel. Much love, John, Christi and Jack Doyle
