Joan Gregg

New Richmond - Gregg, Joan Y., passed away on February 11th, 2024 at the age of 87. She was born on May 23rd, 1936 to parents Meade Lilac and Mary Jane (nee Seaman) Lilac. She was the loving mother of Deborah (Claude) Adkins and Beth (Paul) Gregg. Devoted sibling to Bill Lilac, Shirley Bondy, and Jan Powell-Lilac, and precious grandmother to multiple grandchildren, step grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her family, she had a sweet bond with her daughter's dogs, Jack and Zeus.

Joan had many interests in life. She was an incredible Nurse for 40 years and loved what she did. She loved gardening, puzzles, going on walks with her family, and attending western/ country dances with her husband. She also devoted a lot of time to Volunteering, especially in Florida where she volunteered with the State of Florida Nature preserve and Sebastian Inlet. Joan was a devout Catholic and even served as a lecter at her church in Melbourne, Florida. She loved living there and going to the beach to sit in the sun. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Private memorial to be held at the discretion of the family. She will be returned to Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina to be reunited with her husband.
