This man leaves a very large hole in our lives. So grateful that God allowed us to have him in our lives for a short, but very rich, time. Such a lover of God, of country and of family. Such a faith-filled friend and encourager. He will be welcomed in all of Heaven as we miss him here.
Johnny Johnson, we're glad we ran into you. . . .

Oh, Becky and family I am so very sorry to read this sad news! Johnny was the best, the best neighbor and the best all around good guy! I always enjoyed our conversations and visits. Johnny came to my new, old house here in the Village and did some plumbing for me...I have followed your beautiful family on Facebook and I know he was very proud of all of you. May he rest in peace without pain. God be with you all. Prayers! Jo Ann Martino

I served with Johnny in Vietnam, first in the bush, and later when he became our driver when we held medical clinics in small Vietnamese villages. Prior to my departure, our Vietnamese interpreter did us an honor by inviting Johnny, me, and the rest of the MEDCAP team to a party at his home in Phu Bai. Turned out that this was totally improper AND illegal in the eyes of the 101st Airborne Military Police. Fortunately, we were able to talk our way out of incarceration, and once again, Johnny drove us safely back to Camp Eagle. He will be fondly remembered.

Johnny was my brother in arms and brother in peace. I met him in Vietnam and reconnected with him a while ago. He hadn't changed. I can hear his voice now. He was funny and would do anything for you including giving you the shirt off his back. He was a true Christian and loved the Lord. My heart goes out to all who knew and loved him. Peace to your heart.

I have heard so many “Johnny and Gary” stories I feel like I knew him. So sorry for your loss. Just from stories I could see he was a wonderful person, husband, father and friend.
