Joseph Byron Young

Joseph B. Young (Joe) passed peacefully on the morning of April 12, 2022 with his family nearby. He was the devoted husband of the late Linda Lee (Harvey) Young and loving father to their daughter, Emily Renee (Young) Overcash and her husband Nathan A. Overcash. Joe was born in 1944 to parents, Walton and Hallie Young. He was the eldest of three brothers who grew up in Cincinnati with Eden Park as their back-yard. He leaves brother, Gene Young, sister-in-law Judy Young of Anderson Township; brother Larry Young and sister-in-law, Meredith of Independence, KY; brother-in-law Tom Harvey of Bethel; and many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends. Joe graduated from Withrow High School and began a career in consumer sales which spanned five decades. Joe enjoyed selling furniture at La-z-Boy before opening Anderson Furniture & Mattress stores operating in eastern Cincinnati. Joe was a member of the Williamsburg United Methodist Church and loved participating in Bible Study. Visitation and celebration of life will be held at Moore Family Funeral Home, 225 Spring St., Batavia, OH 45103 on Wednesday, April 20, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. time of service. Burial will follow in Tate Township Cemetery, Bethel, OH. Memorials to Williamsburg United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
