Ken and I were classmates and friends at Roger Bacon High School and Xavier University. He was a kind person, soft spoken, humorous and witty. We shared many good times together. My deepest sympathy to Johnette and the entire family. Rest in peace, Ken! Rich Klus

I went to Mariemont High School and took Latin for 5 years. Magister Stoll-- or "'Gis"-- was such a gifted educator and all around great mentor, teacher, and friend. As so many have already shared, he really made learning fun. He had such energy and enthusiasm. How did he come up with all those great songs!? I still occasionally get "Salve! Te amo..." and other hit 'Gis tunes in my head. And "Moe-ing" has become a life long habit. Just today someone posted on Facebook that they were looking for a "plummer" and I groaned and thought 'Gis might find it humorous that I immediately thought "doesn't this person know it's PLUMB from the Latin for lead?!" sigh. He'd also tell me to be patient with others, he always had really helpful life lessons that extended beyond the class curriculum. I am so very thankful to have had many excellent teachers in my life but there is no doubt that, for me (and it seems many others as well) Mr. Stoll was extra special. He contributed to my love for learning (even during those pesky teenage angst years!), a love for Latin and languages, a love for mythology and history, a real bright spot in my life. My condolences to the Stoll family, I wish you peace and positive energy as you remember and celebrate his life. Thank you for sharing him with us all. I hope our memories shared here can help bring a smile to your faces. He was dearly loved and appreciated by many.

I had the great fortune to have Mr. Stoll as my Latin and Greek mythology teacher at Milford High School from 1979-1982. My all time favorite teacher and such a good man, always adding such a positive light to the world. Always funny and kind, I will never forget my classes with him.....who knew Latin and Mythology could be so fun?! Each time I see the movie Dead Poet's Society, I always think of him. He made such an impact on so many and I am very happy that my nephews and my godson had the opportunity to be taught by him at Moeller High School. I know they also have great memories of him also. Ken, thank you blessing us with your talents and kind heart. You were one of a kind and will be missed! Bene Facis, Requiescat in Pace! -Jenny (Sylvester) White

Hi my name is Lora Eddings and Mr. Stoll was my Latin teacher at Milford High School. One of my favorite memories that I hold dear to is while he was my teacher his dog had puppies ...not just one or two but like 5 and he couldn't keep them while finding homes for them and I don't remember why...but ...I told him...much to the chagrin of my Mom, I'd take them while he found homes for tjem...took them home...they had a play pen and he found homes for all the puppies. He taught me a lot about life, about learning and the wonder of our history. He was a very kind man and he made learning fun. He was always one of my very favorite teachers. My prayers are with you all as his family and friends...our world lost a giant but Heaven gained another angel...Rest in peace Mr. Stoll...you have certainly earned it
