Larry Edward Brown

Larry Edward Brown, 70, of Williamsburg, Ohio, passed away on July 24, 2026. He was born on March 25, 1956, in Covington, Kentucky. Larry proudly served in the United States Army from June 27, 1974, until his discharge on June 24, 1977, achieving the rank of Sergeant E-5. He will be remembered fondly by his family and friends for his love of fishing, woodworking, and building model cars.

Larry was a devoted father to his daughters Amanda Brown and Debra (Josh) Caplinger, and sons Larry and David (Tabee) Brown. He cherished his role as a grandfather to Morgan and Kaylee Schawe, Castor, Christopher and Gloria Caplinger, Aiden, Addie and Abe Brown, and took great joy in his great-grandsons, Michael, Carter and Zayden Clark, Blayze Ward and great-granddaughter Remi Ward. He is also survived by his brother Joe Brown and sister Colleen (Jerry) Kratzer, along with many nieces and nephews.

An avid fan of military history, particularly World War II, Larry loved anything related to the military. His passion for Notre Dame football was well known among his family, and he enjoyed sharing moments of camaraderie and laughter while watching games. Coined "The Yahtzee King" he was always ready with quick, witty and sarcastic responses, his warmth, sense of humor, and love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Larry's life will be honored by those who loved him. His memory will live on through the stories and cherished moments shared among family and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his father and mother, John "George" Brown and Phyllis Brown (Dutlinger), daughter, Erica Brown, sisters, Barb Roberts and Carla Weber, and nephew, Tracy Volkman.
