Emblem

Lawrence A. Boyle, age 79, left to make his tee time in heaven on October 29, 2023. Born September 3, 1944, in Covington, KY to the late Robert and Mary Boyle. Larry is the loving father of Patricia (Brian) Evans, Michelle Roberts, Lisa (Vic) Garrison, and Shawn Boyle. Cherished brother of Kenneth Boyle and Carolyn Chisenhall. Beloved grandfather of Jordan (Nicholas Campbell) Evans, Alyssa (Matt) Hartschuh, Brandon (Ashley Dalton) Evans, Cameron Evans, Adam (Autumn) Roberts, Kelsey (Dakota) Gulling, Cortlandt Roberts, Stephanie Kacer, Alexander (Evelysse) Kacer, Matthew (Lauren) Kacer, Nikole (Jeremy) Johnson, and Victor (Kristin) Garrison III. Also survived by 10 Great-Grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Larry loved living in Newtown. Everything about this town he loved, but especially Ivy Hills and the Hamilton County Golf Center. As an avid golfer, his family would always be asking when his Tee time was. He lived here so long, he knew Dairy Corner as "The Whippy Dip", from the first few years it opened, and forever since it was "The Whippy Dip." He was a kind and gentle man, though was firm in his opinions and beliefs. During Vietnam, he joined the Air Force, and served for 4 years between '65 and '69. He came back home to the start of the anti-war protests, having to endure some of the ill will some Americans had believed back then. It didn't lower his spirits though, only solidifying his relationship with his family. "I love you's" were returned with his own special way, and he would roll his eyes to affection because to him, everything he did was for his kids. He'd still find time to be an avid sportsman, collecting guns and swinging golf clubs. Somehow, he managed to fit a bag of golf clubs in his Mini Cooper that he loved to drive around. Every Sunday he'd find the time to watch the Bengals play. Larry wouldn't admit it, but he was a good cook. He enjoyed satisfying meals and cherished those that his girls made for him. He was also a 31-year friend of Bill W.
