US AIR FORCE VETERAN
BATAVIA - Sergeant Mark Bennett Bentley, age 62. Beloved husband of Tina McLaughlin Bentley. Father of Manny, Matt, Machelle. Step-father of Emma, Kat, Liz and Jen. Brother of Mike (Karen) Bentley, Misty (Tim) Cresap and Megan Mills. Grandfather of Kayson. Also survived by many nieces , nephews and grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents Manuel Bentley and Shelby Mills.
Mark worked as an F-16 Mechanic for many years, earning the Air Froce Achievement Medal for his work between 1979 and 1983. He would return to the Air Force as a civilian in 1986 to help his wing perform maintenance on 39 F-16's, preparing them in record time for an upcoming mission.
He enjoyed his backyard listening to Tom Petty and playing with his animals and telling fun facts.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
