Marvin Bissantz

BISSANTZ Marvin age 93 of Northport, Florida. Formerly of Batavia. Loving husband of Dorothy Berning Bissantz. Brother of Ruth Bissantz McCormick and the late Howard, Harold and Neal Bissantz. Also survived by 4 nieces and several cousins. Marvin served in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945, Five Battle Stars were awarded to Marvin upon his discharge. He was employed as a Clermont County Deputy Sheriff from 1945 - 1951, then employed at G.E. in the Security Dept. from 1951-1982. In 1953 Marvin Married Janet Grupenhoff, born of this marriage were two children Linda Sue & Mark Allen. Marvin's wife, Janet, and both children were lost in a tragic house fire Dec. 15, 1962. Marvin was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, American Legion, V.F.W. He also helped his brothers in auction and real estate businesses. A memorial service will be held at Faith United Methodist Church 180 N. 5th St. Batavia February 22, 2014 at 11 AM. Interment of his cremated remains at Batavia Union Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to The Faith United Methodist Church.
