Thank you everyone for your love, support, prayers, and memories! Mom loved life, family, and her friends! She always tried new things from reading a variety of books, crafts, and traveling! She loved traveling to China for her grandson's wedding. She learned how to pour tea, Chinese style but did not care for the the Eastern toilets! I miss Mom everyday but now she is in heaven and suffers no more pain!

Melinda and Mike both volunteered at Live Oaks with our adult ESOL program prior to her stroke. They both enjoyed getting to know the students and the different cultures. Every year before Halloween, Melinda brought in little treat bags for the students, so they could learn a little about the traditions here in the US. Melinda also did a lot of "one on one instruction" with Korean students and a particular student from Iran. She and Mike loved coming to our white elephant parties and end of year celebrations. We loved having both Mike and Melinda as our volunteers. The world has lost a precious soul with Melinda's departure. I'm praying for your whole family as you endure her loss. My sincere condolences...

Melinda was a great friend and confidant of my mother, her step mother, for decades. I will always appreciate her for that as well as my good memories of her over the years.

Dear Mike, Laurel, Jim and families, I am sharing your loss today. I am thankful that although we didn't spend more time together my memories go back for many years when we were single parents working for Dinsmore Shohl downtown. We did get together for landmark events in our families over the years. I cherish all these memories and loved Melinda -- such a bright and shining person! Love, Nancy and Jerry
