I first met Mike at Summerside Church when I was 7 years old. I always admired and looked up to Mike. He was always such a happy and friendly person, and as I got older I also developed a bit of a crush on him ( but I don't think he ever knew). I really enjoyed watching him play basketball for Glen Este High School, he was very good. What a wonderful person Mike Hatfield was and still is. He definitely has earned his wings! My thoughts and prayers go out to all the Hatfield's, his wife and children. I look forward to seeing you again some day, Mike.

I knew Mike in high school. He was one of the nicest people I've ever met. I never heard him say a bad word about anyone or make jokes at anyone's expense. He always seemed happy and was friendly to everyone. I haven't seen him in years, but I'm sad to hear of his passing. Sending prayers to the family.

The Hatfield Family I am so very sad to learn of Mike's passing. Mike was an outstanding basketball coach and an even better person! He touched so many students lives as a teacher and coach in a positive manner. I considered him one of my close coaching friends as did many others in our profession. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Hatfield family during their time of grief. May God bless all of you! Jim Reynolds Former Madeira Basketball Coach
