Michael Scott

Michael Cargill Scott, age 55, passed away unexpectedly on February 26, 2024. Born in Peekskill, New York to Graham Cargill Scott and Patricia Lee Graff (nee Price). Loving Husband of Jennifer Elizabeth Scott (nee Layton). Beloved Father of Clayton Scott. Cherished Brother of Geoffrey Russell (Jennifer Jean) Scott. Step-Son to the late Ronald Graff and the late Sandy Scott. Son-in-Law to Jacqueline Layton. Uncle to Christopher Scott, Abigail Scott, Henry Layton, and Autumn Levering.

Mike loved his family and his cats. No one and nothing came before them. He had a great love of life, making sure everyone laughed and smiled around him. Jennifer and Clayton were his life, and he tried to spend every waking hour with them that he could. He was very honest and fair to everyone he interacted with, willing to help them with whatever issue or problem they had. After his education at Johnson State College in Vermont, and Rutgers University in New Jersey, he went on to ultimately become Vice President Business Analytics for Pyramid Global Hospitality. In between work and his family, if not relaxing around the firepit with a glass of bourbon in his hand, he enjoyed woodworking and other home projects. If Mike could be anywhere, it would be on a beach, with his toes in the sand, a good book by his side, and a beer in his hand. 

Visitation will take place Friday, March 1, 2024 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Moore Family Funeral Home, 6708 Main St. Newtown, Ohio 45244. Funeral Mass will take place Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 7800 Beechmont Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45255.
