Otto Eugene Saer Jr., age 83, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born on October 27, 1942, in Cincinnati, Otto spent his life in the city he called home.

A graduate of Sycamore High School, Otto pursued his passion for mechanics by attending vocational school to work on cars. His dedication and skill led him to a fulfilling career as both a mechanic and truck driver. Otto was also a proud business owner, operating a body shop and wrecker service that served his community with integrity and expertise.

Otto's life was defined by hard work and an unwavering commitment to his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn Saer, who was the center of his world. Together they built a family filled with love and cherished memories. Otto leaves behind four daughters: Leavinia Saer, Kimberly Brock, Melinda Boegeman (Eric), and Susan Harrison (Matt). He was also a grandfather to Heather Brock, Stacey McKenna (Steve), Mandy Lee, Brittany Van Horn (Will), Jessica Corley (DJ), Ciera Boegeman, Jennifer Justice, Krys Corley, James Saer (Brandy), Inde Newland (Kristin), Justice Newland, Max Harrison, and Moria Saer (Nate). His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Shane, Kayla, Caden, Trip, Mason, Marin, Hayden, Priscilla, Elliott, Valor, Noble, Glory, Eugene, and Sawyer.

Otto was predeceased by his parents, Otto Eugene Saer Sr. and Emily Saer; as well as his son Otto E. Saer III (Paula Saer). Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life.

Known for his honesty and hardworking nature, Otto touched the lives of those around him with kindness and dedication. He had a deep love for dogs and cars but held an even greater love for Carolyn and their family. His presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
