BATAVIA - Phillip Andrew Manning, age 49, passed away on May 16, 2026. He was born on February 14, 1977, to Connie (nee Popp) and the late Larry Manning. Phillip is also survived by his aunts Judy Hancock and Edith Wahoff, and numerous cousins and friends who helped care for him during his final months.
Phillip was a lover of life and people. His love of helping people led him to pursue a career as a nurse. He earned his Bachelor's of Nursing Degree from the University of Cincinnati. Throughout his career, he touched on the lives of so many with his work in several hospitals in Cincinnati. He then went on to become a compassionate home healthcare nurse. His passion for helping others led him all the way to Africa where he worked with Doctors without Borders.
Phillip's friends and family could always count on him for a joke. His friends would say that he was the smartest person they had ever known. He loved everything animated, all kinds of music, computers, and technology. He loved to take things apart and rebuild them and enjoyed tending to his garden. He often visited East Fork Lake with his pups and enjoyed being out in nature. Phillip was truly an angel on earth and will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
A Celebration of Life Service in Phillip's honor will be held on Sunday, June 18, 2026, at Sycamore Park in Batavia, Ohio, at 1PM, in the Riverview Pavillion. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Phillip's honor may be made to an animal charity of choice.
