MOUNT CARMEL - Robert Ellison Harper, age 96, entered his heavenly home on July 24, 2025. He was born on June 2, 1929, to the late Phillip Earl and Evelyn Josephine (nee Neely) Harper. Bob was the devoted husband of the late Bonnie Lee (nee Blake) Harper; loving father of Charles Jonathan Harper (Juanita Henize), Kimberley Harper Rittenour, Kandace Harper Rock (Theodore H. Rustin, Jr.), and Rebecca Harper Richardson; cherished grandfather of Brian C. Rittenour (Sarah), William L. Rittenour (Rebecca), Johanna Jones (Christopher), Christoper Rock (Maria), Merissa Rock (Damon Henkel), Matthew Rock, Gregory Rock, Stephen Rock (Alexis), Jaclyn Rock, Elizabeth Ogden Perdue (Michael), Holly Dianna Shakya (James Beecher), and Lisa Marie Lowery (Derrick McCormick); beloved great-grandfather of Paul and Lydia Rittenour, Patrick and Hannah Costello, Ezekiel, Elliana, Malachi, and Zoe Jones, Penelope Rock, Rafael Riojas, Alexandra and Braxton Rock, Davin Ogden (Kristin Neal), Morrigan Ogden, Jessiah and Corbin Perdue, Bentley, Paisley, and Brooklyn Hearn, Landon McCormick, and the late Savannah Faith McCormick; adored great-great-grandfather of Jamison Rick Ogden; and dear brother of the late Joseph, William, Jack, and Wanda Harper. Bob will also be dearly missed by beloved friends Bev and Tom Chapman and special neighbors.

Bob, a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, being at peace knowing he had an eternal home, was also passionate about introducing others into a relationship with Christ. Private services will be held by the family.
