Rowland "Gil" Guildford

Rowland "Gil" Guildford, Jr. of Batavia, age 91, a truly "gentle man", went to be with the Lord on June 14, 2023. Born July 11, 1931, to the late Rowland Sr. and Louise (nee Bowlby) Guildford in Detroit, MI. Loving Husband of Sally "nee" Spatholt, his best friend, his partner, and the sunshine of his life, married for 32 years. Cherished Father of Charles A. (Kazue) Guildford, residing in Japan, and stepson James Corrao, of Batavia.

Gil and Sally lived a simple life together. They would travel occasionally, but generally enjoyed each other's company at home. Gil spent several years singing with the Delta Kings Barbershop Chorus. He had been an active member of Batavia Faith United Methodist Church and sang with the choir for many years until health issues made it difficult to any longer attend.
