Ruth G. Salonus

UNION TOWNSHIP - Ruth G. Salonus (nee Dunn), age 93, passed away peacefully as of May 16, 2026. Ruth was the wife of the late Edward Charles Salonus, married July 24, 1954. A loving mother to her son Michael (Cindy) Salonus and the late Mark Salonus and Edward Salonus II. Daughter of Joseph and Viola (nee Cameron) Dunn. Dear sister of Joseph (Judith) Dunn, Sara (Carmen) (nee Dunn) Mancini, William T. Dunn, the late Charlotte (nee Dunn) McBride, and the late Nancy (nee Dunn) Fisher. Cherished grandmother of Cameron Salonus and Zackery and Jeremy Chapman. God-Mother of Steven Kubis. Loving Aunt and Great-Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Ruth will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, steadfast faith, and deep love for her family. Known for her quick whit, sharp intellect, and love of sarcasm, Ruth brought laughter and insight to all around her. She was a devoted member of her community, active throughout her life, an avid traveler and a person who always had a story to tell to those who would listen. Her home was a place of love, laughter, and unwavering support for family and friends alike. She will be missed.

A Memorial service will be held at St. Timothy's Church, 8108 Beechmont Avenue Cincinnati, Ohio 45255 on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 2 PM. Memorial contributions are preferred and can be made to St. Timothy's Church, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, or Clermont County Senior Services.
