Velma Sue Stephenson, born on November 20, 1954, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026. A beloved homemaker, Velma dedicated her life to creating a nurturing and vibrant environment for her family. Known for her warm heart and artistic spirit, she spent countless hours sewing for her children and grandchildren.

Velma had a passion for adding color to the world around her. Every home she touched was transformed with her paintbrush, as she tirelessly painted rooms to reflect her joyful personality and love for life. Her imaginative flair and dedication to her family made her a true beacon of light in all their lives.

She is survived by her loving sons Daniel and David Stephenson, daughters Sherry Hoeweler, and Christen Stephenson. She also leaves behind her dear daughter-in-law Julie Stephenson, daughter-in-law Beth Stephenson, and son-in-law Chris Hoeweler. She also has 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Velma's legacy of creativity and love will be forever remembered by her family and friends.

Velma was preceded in death by her mother Sophia Peace and father Jess Stephenson; sisters Faye, Lois, and Joyce; and brother Jesse. 

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life in honor of Velma at The Teller - 102 East Main Street, Owensville, Ohio 45160, from 11AM until 2PM on Sunday, February 1, 2026.
