Virginia Campbell

BATAVIA - Virginia "Jenny" Campbell, age 67, passed away on January 22, 2026. She was born on February 4, 1958, to the late John Mateer, Jr. and the late Angela Kay Schulte. Jenny was the devoted wife of Glenn Campbell; loving mother of Lydia England, Elizabeth Pirog, Kathryn Minton, Christopher Pirog, Rebecca Pirog, Christine Pirog, Anna Pirog, and John Mark (Priya) Pirog; step-mother of Jessica Campbell and Josiah Campbell; cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren; and dear sister of Kathy (Carl) Nielsen, Robert (Mary) Mateer, and the late Martin (surviving Cindy) Mateer.

Jenny loved reading, video games, science fiction, movies, and Doctor Who, music, singing, and was a proficient 12-string guitar player. She will also be remembered for her love of all things Disney, and was an annual passholder for Disney World. Jenny was a great listener, a loyal companion, loved by everyone she met, and was a person of deep faith in Jesus Christ.
