DAVIS, HILDEGARDE S.
Hildegarde (Hilda Szentpetery) Davis passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the Mt Washington Care Center in Cincinnati. She was born on May 12, 1915, to Joseph and Frieda Szentpetery in Cleveland, then moved to Strongsville, Ohio. She attended Strongsville schools and graduated from Metropolitan Business College in Cleveland. She is survived by her son Donald Franklin Bates.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Herman and Walter Szentpetery, and by her sisters Frieda Schafer and Helen Ehrbar. She was married to Franklin A. Bates, the noted artist, and to Zed E. Davis who both preceeded her in death.
She lived most of her life in Medina, Ohio, and was an avid gardener while she lived there. She later enjoyed playing bingo and dominoes while a resident of Sutton Grove Retirement Center in Cincinnati.
Per her wishes, there will be no services or visitation hours.
